NOTICE: LICENSE REQUIREMENT FOR USE OF CARBON AEROGEL SHEETS AS MATERIALS FOR ELECTRODES CAPACITIVE DEIONIZATION
The use of carbon aerogel sheets in CDI is covered by patent(s) held by the University of California. These patents can be licensed and apply to commercial sales of CDI systems and not the evaluation of the materials. Please read the following:
"The Carbon Aerogel Electrode Materials for Capacitive Deionization (CDI) being supplied is produced and sold under a License Agreement governing such rights between THE REGENTS of the University of California (UC) and Ocellus Inc. The carbon Aerogel Electrode Material for CDI is covered by claims of pending and issued U.S. patents, held by THE REGENTS of the University of California. Use of this material for CDI is limited to CDI licensees of the Regents of the University of California or prospective CDI licensees who may obtain the material for short-term evaluation of its use in CDI. THE REGENTS will be advised of the sale and/or delivery of the covered Carbon Aerogel Electrode Materials for CDI to you. It is your responsibility to seek a commercial license from THE REGENTS if you intend to use this material other than evaluation purposes."
